The Pink Patch Project

The Pink Patch Project is an innovative public awareness campaign designed to bring attention to the fight against breast cancer and to support breast cancer research. It is a collaborative effort between public safety agencies throughout the Country. The program centers on vibrant pink versions of public safety officer’s uniform patch. These bright pink patches have been specially designed by each participating agency for the Pink Patch Project campaign. Officers at each of the participating agencies are encouraged to wear these pink patches on their regular uniforms for the entire month of October each year during “Breast Cancer Awareness Month.”

Starting now, until the end of October (or until the patches sell out), the Placentia Police Department will be selling the pink patches to the public for $10.00 each. Cash or checks payable to the Placentia Police Department will be accepted. The proceeds will be donated to the Placentia-Linda Hospital/Susan G. Komen Orange County. To purchase a patch, please visit the Placentia Police Department at 401 E. Chapman Avenue or call (714) 993-8164.
