Recycle Placentia Teen Team
Members and Purpose
The Placentia Recycle Teen Team is a specially selected group of 10-12 members between the ages of 14-18.
Members continually increase their knowledge of environmental sustainability in the community by actively participating in special events and educational programs.
Teen Team provides not only opportunity for community service hours and community involvement, but also scholarship awards based upon 30 hours of service.
Events
Teen Team members participate in a number of events including:
Community Clean-Ups
Compost Give-Away Day
Heritage Festival and Parade
Community Presentations
Shred It / E-Waste Day
Used Oil Collection Events
Tours
Members also engage in tours of various facilities including:
Materials Resource Recovery Facility (MRRF)
Dana Point Ocean Institute
Republic Services Placentia
Orange County Water District
Fullerton Arboretum
