Any individual, corporation, sole proprietor, partnership, or entity that wishes to conduct business within the City of Placentia must secure a business license.

According to Placentia's Municipal Code, no person shall engage in business or transact and carry on a business, trade, profession, calling, or occupation in the City without first having procured a City license.

Here are the steps you should follow before applying for a business license:

1. Contact the Planning Department at (714) 993-8124 to discuss the details of your business operations and to inquire about zoning requirements for your business and its proposed location.
2. Make sure your business complies with all city, county, and state regulations for zoning, building, health, and safety.
3. Apply for any additional permits required for your type of business.
