Keeping Our Schools Safe
Currently there are three school resource officers, with one officer assigned to Valencia High School/Kraemer Middle School, one officer assigned to El Dorado High School/Tuffree Middle School, and one officer assigned to El Camino High School/Valadez Middle School. These SRO's have several duties at their schools, but their primary objectives include:
- Preventing drug and alcohol abuse
- Preventing juvenile delinquency through close contact with students and school personnel
- Protecting the school, staff, and students
The school resource officers investigate delinquent acts within the school system and crimes within the community that are school related. The resource officers are also responsible for improving the image of the uniformed law enforcement officer in the eyes of the students and community.
