Neighborhood Watch
It is the mission of the Placentia Neighborhood Watch Program, through the assistance and sponsorship of the Placentia Police Department, to actively seek, educate and involve city residents, neighborhoods and communities in "A Partnership in Crime Prevention" through the development of crime awareness, observation skills training and reporting.
Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)
CERT is a course that demonstrates how to prepare for a disaster as well as what to do during and immediately after the event. It is free to all participants including non-residents of Placentia.
Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service RACES
The Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (RACES) is administered by the City of Placentia and volunteer members. Placentia RACES is dedicated to public safety communications. Providing radio communications support for either the City or other regional communities during and after disasters or emergencies as well as radio communications support for non-emergency functions, such as community activities and mutual aid requests.
