Mid Management
Our Mid-Management staff are unrepresented and their salaries are set by resolution. Mid Management employees are not eligible for overtime.

Part Time Employee
Part-Time and seasonal employees are considered "at will"; their appointment is seasonal, substitute, casual or temporary. As this position is not part of the City's merit system, it is without any vested property right, may be terminated at any time, without cause and without right to appeal. Our part-time employees are eligible for Deferred Compensation. Such employees shall be enrolled in the City's Federal Insurance Contribution Act (FICA) replacement plan.

In accordance with the Healthy Workplaces, Healthy Families Act of 2014, California Labor Code Sections 245 through 239, employees shall be eligible for paid sick leave hours. Effective July 1, 2015, California law (AB 1522) requires that all employees who have worked for more than 30 days for an employer be provided paid sick leave at the accrual rate of one hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a minimum of 3 days or 24 hours of paid sick leave to be provided in a 12-month period.

Under the Federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), employees may be eligible for enrollment in the City sponsored medical plan designed to meet the requirements of the ACA.
