City Desk Blog Policy

Welcome to the City Desk Blog. This moderated blog provides an opportunity for sharing and discussing issues affecting residents, businesses and visitors of the City of Placentia with the City Administrator's Office. All public comments shall be reviewed before posting by the City. All comments will be screened in accordance with this blog policy.
  • Comments should relate to the topic being discussed in the original post. No random or unintelligible text will be accepted.
  • Keep it clean. The use of vulgar, offensive, threatening or harassing language is prohibited. No personal attacks permitted. The City expects users of this blog to show respect and consideration to all fellow users of this blog.
  • A posted comment is the opinion of the poster only, and publication of a comment does not imply endorsement or agreement by the City Administrator or the City
  • No campaigning. The blog is not open to comments promoting or opposing any person campaigning for election to a political office or promoting or opposing any ballot proposition.
  • No commercialism. This blog is not open to the promotion or advertisement of a business or commercial transaction.
  • Brown Act. All public officials subject to the Brown Act and/or other open meeting laws must identify themselves and must not post comments if comments have been posted by two other members of the body in which they serve.
  • Comments are subject to the California Public Records Act and will be retained as general correspondence for two years.
  • No outside web-links. All links outside of the City of Placentia website are not allowed in posted comments.
