The CARES Act provides the City of Placentia with federal funds that will be used to support community and economic development efforts in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. On May 19, 2020 the City Council approved the Placentia Small Business Emergency Relief Grant Program to provide funding for small businesses in Placentia. The program will grant small businesses with fifteen or fewer employees a working capital grant of up to $10,000 per business to support payroll expenses, rent, mortgage payments, utility expenses, or similar expenses that occur in the ordinary course of business from March 1, 2020 to December 30, 2020.
