If the City's revenues were reduced by 20%, would you support increases in fees and fines, like recreation classes, building permits, and parking fines to help maintain important Placentia's programs?

That area is known for gang activity and pedestrians have to walk along this dark path just to get home. Better light would hopefully deter gang members and loiterers from gathering at night time to drink and smoke right on the park; at times using the swings and slides as "resting" spots. Please help us improve the safety of our neighborhood.

Also I believe that home alarms are supposed to be a deterrent to criminals and would mean LESS police work. This ordinance is gouging to people who are trying to protect their homes and save the city dollars.

I am a avid bike rider and although I ride all over Orange County I start and end all of my rides from my house in Placentia. I am growing increasingly concerned that the city of Placentia is considering the safety of bicyclists as much as it could be. Over the last few years I have watched several bike lanes go away on some of the busiest streets like Bastenchury, and Kraemer just to mention a few. This is disturbing because the cars seem to have even less concern for the rights or safety of a bike rider when there is no bike lane. Now my concern grows even more with the addition of the 3 new underpasses on Placentis, Bradford, and Kraemer where none of these have bike lanes, it is now becoming increasingly unsafe in riding along these busy roads where the cars buzz by at top speed at only inches away from riders.
I would like to see Placentia become more bike friendly in general and do the right thing by adding these bike lanes back to our streets for greater safety
Thanks

We urgently need for a 4-WAY STOP SIGN on this intersection. Please give this issue HIGH priority, is a hazard with great potential for an accident to happen any minute! With Lakeview closed til 2016, traffic is many times greater on Orchard-DETOUR. Orchard has STOPS and people assume the opposite traffic on Highland have it too, then quickly stop and go, not aware cars are coming at a high speed. Cars coming from North to South come downhill WAY TOO FAST for not having a stop, are a real danger to cars/pedestrians. We reside on the 100 block of Highland Ave and park across the street; we need to cross the street safely without cars passing by at a high speed. Many times we have almost been hit when crossing; we even have had several cars lose control, ending up in our front yard almost destroying the property (record on City files). By adding stops on Highland, cars will be obligated to stop and reduce speed, being able to yield to pedestrians. Thank you!

There is a salon that some good and crate stylists that bring others into that part of Placentia. It is called Villain Salon owner and stylist, is Stev Fregoso. It is a unique place that provides a great variety of grooming services at reasonable prices. It's staff and the place itself is a breathe of fresh creativity that pulls people to a part of Placentia that many did not know was there. I frequent it often and tell everyone to go to Villain Salon and get a cut from the owner Stev. His staff encourages all to check out the other food places increasing revenue for many of the local restaurants in the area. They are now up for review and may very well be shut down if the city finds no reason to hold on to them. On Feb. 14 at 6pm, there's a meeting on this. Please come and support our local small business. Don't let them leave. It would be an unfortunate loss to Placentia, Villain Salon with Stev and staff and to the possibilities of people investing more into Placentia.

Please monitor and or cite vehicles that are parked illegally on Angelina and Chapman. Many vehicles park on Angelina where their cars are in the crosswalks of Angelina and Chapman or they are parked to close to the corners. The curbs on the north side of Angelina/Chapman are painted red, can we not post signs or paint the curbs red on the south side so that cars do not park there and block the view of what is coming down Chapman? Not to mention that if a car turns right off of Chapman onto Angelina it is possible that they can hit a car that is parked to close to the corner.

Anaheim city council just voted to ban short term rental activity such as Airbnb. As a neighbor of someone who has abused short term rental activity, with new people in and out of the house every few days, I am disgusted and fed up with it and our neighborhood is suffering as a result. Placentia needs to do something about this and ban short term rental activity, as it is a major drag for the life and safety of the neighbors. Currently it is not being effectively enforced and this needs to change.

City ordinance requiring operators of R/C vehicles, including drones, to maintain visual contact at all times when operating drones w/in city limits, and not allowed over private property without permission. This aligns with many other city's ordinances for purposes of maintaining citizen safety, protecting privacy, eliminating potential noise concerns, and supporting the safe deployment of emergency services including police helicopters and fire services. Also consider a requirement for owner identification on all R/C vehicles operated within city limits, including drones, in the event of property damage, injury, or other civil actions related to the operation of the R/C vehicle.

There are many families who live around that area as well as bicycle riders. Walking to and from Carbon Canyon Park, the Dam, and the stores at the corner of Imperial and Rose can be very dangerous with the cars all going at such high speeds. Although there are speed signs cars often exceed the speed limit.
Putting in a couple of small speed "humps' along this stretch would keep the cars going within the posted speed limit.
I have seen many residential streets that have these large/wide bumps that slow cars down but still let them travel at a reasonable speed (Whittier Blvd between N Puente St and Verona St in La Habra).
This would be a great way to accommodate traffic and increase the safety of pedestrians and cyclist.
