- Councilmember Kevin Kirwin, District 2
Councilmember Kevin Kirwin and his family moved to Placentia in 1968 when he was 3 years old. He grew up here, went to three great schools, Brookhaven, Tuffree, and El Dorado, played sports, and had many great teachers, great neighbors, and great coaches who helped shape his life in Placentia.
As an adult, Kevin and his wife chose to raise their family here so they could enjoy the same experiences he had growing up. Living in Placentia is a privilege that he does not take lightly.
Professionally, Kevin owns and operates a company that specializes in online safety training for industry.
Kevin has been active in the community, especially in youth sports when his daughters were young. He coached too many games to count and served as President of Placentia JUSA, the city’s all-volunteer soccer program.
Kevin’s introduction to City Politics began as his neighborhood became involved in several development projects. Though his political resume is short, he believes this will bring a fresh point of view to City Council. As District 2 Councilmember, he will be an open book. He wants to make himself available to listen to other residents’ concerns and ideas about improving things. He strongly believes in the City’s motto, “The People Are the City.”
Kevin also believes in balanced budgets, public safety, good roads, clean parks, and an economic environment that attracts business. Placentia should be a safe place for you and your family to live.
