The City of Placentia offers a unique opportunity for local youth to participate in a long-standing civic tradition through the Youth Pledge of Allegiance Program. This initiative invites local youth civic groups to lead the Pledge of Allegiance at the beginning of a Placentia City Council Meeting, providing an engaging way for students to connect with their community and learn about local government. City Council meetings are typically held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall, located at 401 E. Chapman Avenue. Participating groups are recognized during the meetings, giving students a chance to experience civic engagement firsthand. Participation is open on a first-come, first-served basis, and interested groups must submit a request at least two weeks before their desired meeting. Once confirmed, City staff will provide additional details to help groups prepare for their visit. To sign up or learn more, please visit our website and complete the Youth Pledge of Allegiance sign-up form.
