The City will begin construction on the Golden Avenue Bridge Replacement Project on Wednesday, February 25, requiring a full closure of the Golden Avenue Bridge in both directions through Friday, September 11. This closure is necessary to safely complete significant infrastructure improvements to the bridge and surrounding roadway.
The closure will affect only the bridge. Access to homes and properties along Golden Avenue will not be affected, and local access will remain available throughout the project duration.

Detour Routes: Valencia Avenue, McCormack Lane, Bastanchury Road, and Rose Drive
Schedule Note: Construction schedules are subject to change due to weather or other operational factors.
This project will modernize the existing bridge and includes the addition of two 12-foot vehicular lanes, new sidewalks, bike lanes, a striped median center, hand railings, and comprehensive grading, drainage, utility, and roadway improvements, resulting in safer and more efficient travel for motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians.
