Where Can I Take My "Sharps"?

There are four (4) household hazardous waste collection centers operated by the County of Orange that accept sharps free of charge - as long as they are placed inside a puncture-proof container, such as a plastic detergent bottle, liquid fabric softener bottle, empty bleach bottle, store-purchased sharps container.

Republic Services offers a program to provide disposal service for sharps items for a nominal fee that is safe, convenient, and confidential. Sharps can be mailed to a safe disposal location using Republic Services Medical Mail Back Kit.
